Jean Teaches:

Handwoven Necklace Making

Learn basic techniques of necklace weaving and clever little tricks for unique customization. Get creative combining tapestry style weaving with beads and unconventional found objects.

Everyone will design and take home one finished necklace with the skills to make many more.

We supply all the tools and materials to create your piece, but participants are encouraged to bring found objects from home –  example: hardware such as tiny metal washers, teeny bolts, mini hinges, or the spring from a broken ball point pen. You never know what will find its way into your necklace.

“Learning jewelry and weaving is an activity you can take with you almost anywhere. It makes me happy to make stuff—like therapy without drama. Happiness and cool jewlery, what more could one ask for on a Sunday? Can’t wait to see you on Hubbell Hill” —Jean Radakovich
