Humanitarian of the Year— James Hubbell
President of the Board of Supervisors, Dianne Jacob paid a visit to Ilan-Lael to give Jim Hubbell the County’s Humanitarian of the Year Award in June. Jacob, whose District 2 is where Ilan-Lael is located, has been a long-time supporter of James and many Ilan-Lael programs and projects. “James has done remarkable work using his art to reach out around the world to build peace,” said Jacobs at a small ceremony in front of Ilan-Lael Foundation and Hubbell Studio employees. “Your modesty and your determination have endeared you to all San Diegans and it is an honor to bestow this award on you. May you have many more creative adventures.”
