Bob and Ingrid Coffin have been fans of James’s art and philosophy for more than 30 years.

Ingrid first learned about James Hubbell through her interest in stained glass.

Inspired by James’s work in the community and his beautiful appreciation of nature, members of the Blue Sky Ranch Fellowship, which is a community created by Ingrid, became long-time volunteers at Ilan-Lael events. Bob became a supporter in his own way by opening their historic Kensington home to Ilan Lael board meetings and special events.

Sadly, Bob passed away in 2019. As part of down-sizing, Ingrid donated crates of valuable art glass to Ilan-Lael. These were quickly put to use in new artworks designed by James and in stained glass workshops.

Additionally, Ingrid made a $100,000 gift to the Ilan-Lael Endowment. It provided an important cash boost to the program. We are very appreciative of their generosity.

Ingrid sends along her reflections about supporting the Ilan-Lael Endowment.

“I met James in the 70’s through our mutual participation in the world of stained glass. Our friendship led me to Ilan-Lael and an opportunity to meet Anne, his amazing wife. Over the years I have watched the remarkable accomplishments of the Hubbell family and have marveled at their desire to make the world a better place through cooperation, beauty, and love of the earth. I share this desire and hope that you do as well and will contribute to the Ilan Lael Foundation.”
