Hike and explore Volcan Mountain Foundation’s Sky Island Trail located at their upper ‘mile-high’ property. This 1.5 mile long trail is an easy ascent starting among ancient pines, oaks and firs, and finishing with spectacular 300 degree views of the county’s mountains and coast. The James Hubbell-designed and Bill Porter-built Sky Scope affords visitors focused views of the Volcan Mountain Range, it’s adjacent watershed and regional peaks. After your energizing hike, a picnic lunch will be served at the base under the rustling pines.
