The Triton Restaurant was a landmark in Cardiff-by-the-Sea, California for 40 years. The building and art contained therein was designed by James Hubbell. New owners were remodeling the building and generously donated much of the artwork to the Ilan-Lael Foundation for resale to the public. This rare and beautiful stained-glass window spans 8’ across and 4’ in height. It was split down the middle by a wall that separated the mens and women’s washrooms. Now it is back together as a complete piece. This artwork is a one-of-a-kind Hubbell. It is being sold AS IS and requires significant repair for some cracked glass pieces and the construction of an exterior metal frame. Because of it’s size it’s not well suited for hanging. The ideal purchaser would install this as a window in a wall of new construction or in remodeling. Your purchase includes an installation consultation with Hubbell and Hubbell Architects.
Size: 8’ in length x 4’ width, oval split window. Needs repair of some cracked glass.
Delivery fee for art purchased outside of San Diego County will be billed to purchaser. Delivery fees will vary by size and weight of item and choice of preferred shipper. Item may be picked up from Hubbell and Hubbell in San Diego in lieu of delivery fee.
