Nexus by Cristobal B. Gonzales is a framed watercolor hand-painted by the architect/artist. Cristo was a student at three Pacific Rim Park building projects representing Mexico. His work is inspired by James Hubbell and his experiences as a student at Pacific Rim Park.

Artist’s Statement: Peace is achieved by collaborating, communicating and helping others, together and through the work of James Hubbell and PRP projects. We make sure peace happens by being in touch with the arts and connecting with nature, and by learning to give and receive.

About the Artist: Cristobal B. Gonzalez | Cristo studied Architecture at the Instituto Tecnológico de Tijuana (México) and a Master’sdegree in Architectural Management and Design at IE Business School in Madrid (Spain) in collaboration with the Royal College of Art in London (UK). Cristo is part of PRP International Steering Committee and in the past, he has participated in the San Diego, Ca. – ‘Pearl of the Pacific,’ 1998. Yantai, China – ‘Moon Park,’ 2001. Tijuana, Mex. – ‘Entre Corazón y Mar,’ 2004. He is also an Architectural Designer/BIM Manager at San Diego-based firm CSCArchitects. In parallel, Cristo is a correspondent for STUDIO Architectural and Urbanism magazine in Milan, Italy. Recently, he was selected to participate in the experimental seminar: The Grace Machine at GeorgiaTech (USA), taught by distinguished Professor of Architecture Lars Spuybroek.
