Introduction to Glass Mosaic Art

This day-long workshop will focus on the tools, materials, and basic methods of glass mosaic creation. Participants will be exploring stained glass and glass tile cutting techniques all while creating their own individual artwork. James Hubbell’s mosaic work throughout the Ilan-Lael Foundation grounds will provide endless inspiration while students create art in the serenity of the Julian mountains. Many of James’ mosaic philosophies and tips will be shared throughout the day as well as vast technical knowledge from an instructor with over 20 years of glass mosaic experience. A full property tour is included to inspire participants and our small class size ensures some individualized instruction for everyone.
