Description

In a small group of 4 students Brennan Hubbell will introduce you to blacksmithing and metal art at the world renowned studio of James Hubbell. Each student will create a forged iron hook [or similar sized iron object] to take home with you. Students will learn how to heat, bend, hammer and twist hot iron using a propane forge. In this indoor studio setting participants should be prepared to stand, bend, lift and be generally physical during workshop. All participants will be asked to wear safety equipment and practice safety protocols. Participants will share anvil time and help one another complete metal working tasks.
