I am developing a series that explores fire-altered earth through direct engagement with stone, soil, and space. These photographic mixed-media works respond to Hubbell’s sculptural forms and the surrounding landscape. The bold, dynamic curves of his sculptures and architecture—along with remnants of glass and details drawn from his buildings and their environment—inspire both my palette and subject matter.
