Soul and Soil Workshops

The Soul and Soil workshops were founded by James Hubbell through his Ilan-Lael Foundation, in partnership with the Pomegranate Foundation. The project’s mission is to create thoughtfully designed community spaces in urban areas that encourage visitors to attune to the larger environment, be that people or nature. Volunteers are recruited from the local community to conceive, design, and help build these projects. To date, workshops have been held in New York, Vermont, Washington, California, and Tecate, Mexico.
